01

Create the fitted-equipment map

Use VIN-linked configuration, controls and physical hardware to list cameras, radar, parking sensors and available assistance functions. Do not copy a top-grade package or another market’s feature list into the candidate.

02

Inspect each sensor environment

Check windscreen type and camera zone, bumper covers, brackets, radar surfaces, parking sensors, harnesses and evidence of paint or impact. A correct-looking outer cover does not prove an undistorted mount behind it.

03

Connect geometry to calibration

Review wheel and tyre fitment, pressures, ride height, alignment, steering or suspension repairs and body measurements where relevant. Sensor aiming can depend on vehicle geometry beyond the replaced component.

04

Preserve scans before resets

Record module identities, current and stored faults, communication state and calibration status before clearing. An absent dashboard warning is only one observation and cannot replace diagnostic or repair history.

05

Verify qualified calibration and function

Retain the procedure basis, equipment, technician, conditions and result. Use safe and legal controlled tests; never provoke an emergency intervention or describe driver assistance as autonomous operation.

06

Separate calibration from overseas services

A calibrated sensor may still depend on market software, maps, accounts or destination rules. Record the dependable offline baseline and price unsupported functions or diagnosis before purchase.

07

Condition file close-out

Close this specific file by placing VIN-linked assistance-equipment inventory, sensor and surrounding-part photographs and alignment and repair records in one dated candidate record. The reviewer should be able to confirm that fitted hardware is verified by market and vin and that repair geometry is connected to calibration. Name the person or provider responsible for every unresolved point, add a realistic cost or consequence, and state what evidence will change the decision. If the VIN, version, condition or destination basis changes, reopen this file instead of carrying the previous conclusion into a different purchase.

08

Decision boundary

A useful decision records what is verified, what remains seller-stated and what was not tested. Attach a consequence and owner to each open item. Do not let a broad assurance replace a missing VIN record, charge test, condition image or destination opinion. Acceptance should be explicit: proceed, proceed with a priced condition, obtain more evidence, or reject. A replacement VIN never inherits an earlier acceptance.

09

Document discipline

Give images, scans, diagnostics and quotations a date, source and vehicle identity. Preserve originals before translation or editing. If custody, software, repair, route or candidate changes, identify which conclusions expire and repeat the affected checks instead of silently carrying them forward. Before inland release, read the same identity, propulsion, value and parties across contract, invoice, inspection and shipping drafts. Registration and customs remain separate destination checks.
