01

Photograph the charge interface

Capture the inlet open and closed, pin layout, labels, cable ratings and any supplied portable equipment. Link the images to the VIN. China-market and export-market cars can use different physical and communication standards.

02

Separate AC from DC

Record onboard AC capacity, supported phases and destination supply. Then verify DC connector and protocol independently. A mechanical adapter may pass power pins but cannot guarantee communication, locking, temperature monitoring, certification or safe operation.

03

Test known equipment

Use a documented charger and record site identifier, starting state of charge, temperature, power curve, interruptions and final energy. If possible, test both AC and DC. A successful session on one network does not prove every public network will accept the car.

04

Check account and software dependencies

Some charging or vehicle controls may depend on menus, region settings, apps or accounts. Confirm that charge limits, schedules and preconditioning remain usable after seller accounts and temporary phone connections are removed.

05

Plan destination fallbacks

Map reliable home, workplace and public options and name a recovery route if the preferred charger fails. Price installation, cable, approved interface work and possible inspection. Do not ship first and hope a locally purchased adapter solves the system.

06

Document the accepted boundary

State which charger types were physically tested, which are supported only by documentation and which remain unknown. Give the buyer the test record and equipment list. Compatibility claims should expire if the vehicle, software or destination installation changes.

07

Energy file close-out

Close this specific file by placing inlet and label photographs, onboard charger configuration and AC and DC session logs in one dated candidate record. The reviewer should be able to confirm that ac and dc are evaluated separately and that adapter limitations are stated. Name the person or provider responsible for every unresolved point, add a realistic cost or consequence, and state what evidence will change the decision. If the VIN, version, condition or destination basis changes, reopen this file instead of carrying the previous conclusion into a different purchase.

08

Decision boundary

A useful decision records what is verified, what remains seller-stated and what was not tested. Attach a consequence and owner to each open item. Do not let a broad assurance replace a missing VIN record, charge test, condition image or destination opinion. Acceptance should be explicit: proceed, proceed with a priced condition, obtain more evidence, or reject. A replacement VIN never inherits an earlier acceptance.

09

Document discipline

Give images, scans, diagnostics and quotations a date, source and vehicle identity. Preserve originals before translation or editing. If custody, software, repair, route or candidate changes, identify which conclusions expire and repeat the affected checks instead of silently carrying them forward. Before inland release, read the same identity, propulsion, value and parties across contract, invoice, inspection and shipping drafts. Registration and customs remain separate destination checks.
